Our Story

Franklin Campus Exterior 300pxFellowship Bible Church started with a small group of people in Middle-Tennessee, committed to growing in Christ and reaching others with the gospel. They wanted to make a difference in their community. The mission of Fellowship remains the same today.

Over the years, it became clear that people were driving to Fellowship's location in Brentwood from several neighboring areas. Our desire to reach those communities more effectively led us to consider the church-campus model. Rather than limiting the church to a central location, we made the decision to pursue multiple campuses with shared resources, budget, central services, and elder board.

In December of 2010, Eric Hoffman was brought on staff to initiate, coordinate and lead what will be the first extension of our original campus—where we take what we started in Brentwood and establish a similar work in a new community.

In January of 2011, we had ACS Technologies, a ministry-consulting firm, provide a demographic study of our church and the greater Nashville area. The research showed that our primary ministry area was south of Old Hickory Blvd. In fact, the greatest concentration of Fellowship families—other than the immediate Brentwood community—was south of Highway 96. It seemed most reasonable to make our first campus-venture in this particular geographical area.

In early April, we hosted a town hall meeting in Franklin to gauge the interest level of those who live south of Highway 96. That evening, it became apparent to us that “south of Franklin” encompassed two distinct and separate communities, both of which were viable for a campus site.

After much prayer, discussion, and research, God led us to start a new campus on the south-side of Franklin in the fall of 2011.
