Our Story

On November 3, 1996, Jeff and Brenda Schulte and Lloyd and Lisa Shadrach were commissioned by Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas (fbclr.org) to plant a Fellowship Bible Church in Middle Tennessee.

Core Group

During the winter of 1997, they began meeting with six couples from Williamson and Davidson counties to study the Scripture, pray, and explore the possibility of planting an equipping church. This group dreamed about becoming a family of faith committed to a timeless message and living with abandon for a transcendent cause.

By May, this core group had become 20 families who were meeting weekly on Sunday evenings to study the biblical foundations and principles of the church as found in the New Testament.

Getting Started
In September of 1997, we began meeting on Sunday mornings in the cafeteria of Franklin High School to be equipped in the basics of living the life of Christ and sharing His life with others. On March 8, 1998, Fellowship Bible Church held its first public worship service at Franklin High School.

Franklin Road Campus

And then, nearly five years later, on February 2, 2003, our "portable church" gave way to yet another new beginning, as we moved onto our campus on Franklin Road in the heart of Brentwood, opening new doors of ministry to each other, our community and around the world. As a growing family of faith, we remain passionately committed to the same mission and values that originally drew us together.
