I teach at a Title 1 school located close to the airport. It is a very old school and has a neglected appearance. There are six portables in front full of second-fourth graders, so our family bought two big wooden picnic tables and placed them under the shade trees to give the children an outside area in which to work. My kids and I baked seven dozen homemade decorated cookies and went door to door at the Baptist Children's Home in Franklin and handed them out to the families in each of the cottages.
