We invite you to an encounter...
An encounter with a living, transcendent, creative, loving and redeeming God who takes pleasure in the worship of His people. If you are at Fellowship for any length of time, we believe you will encounter this God who is in the business of changing lives, and will be compelled to respond to Him passionately with every fiber of your being. He has created all of us as worshippers with the ability to respond to all that He is with all that we are. Worship far transcends music, liturgy or form. Worship is a lifestyle.
We invite you to encounter this God... and respond with your life.
Our Worship and Arts Ministry is passionate about finding creative ways to communicate truths about God, His character and His work, and then creatively leading the body in a passionate response to this revelation. We go to great lengths to use the vast artistic gifts from within the body to lead in this response - everything from dance, to painting, to beautiful music, to sculpting, to a well-crafted song... We are driven by our ministry's mission statement that guides all that we do:
We exist to passionately and creatively lead the Body of Christ
in an authentic response to all God has revealed Himself to be,
actively stewarding the gifts of our body to influence the world
for the glory of God.
If you have an artistic gift that can be used to draw God's people into an authentic response to all that He is, we want to explore how your gifts can be used at Fellowship.
Foundational Characteristics are words we hope and pray describe the character of everyone involved in our Worship and Arts Ministry. May each of us be worshipers who are:
Dependent Psalm 145:14-19 : Our hands are open and our hearts are postured in humble submission toward a loving, gracious and sovereign God who takes pleasure in each of us and satisfies us with everything we need.
Authentic Psalm 51:6 : Who we are on the outside matches who we are on the inside. We are real.
Creative Genesis 1:1; 26 : The creative God of the universe has made us in His image to utilize all of our God-given gifts to glorify Him and edify the Body of Christ.
Passionate Mark 12:30 : Our only appropriate response to God’s love toward us is to worship Him with every part of our being, and in so doing, emboldening those around us to do the same.
Influential Matthew 28:19-20 : We are called not merely to grow locally, but to steward the people, gifts and resources with which we’ve been richly blessed to impact the world for God’s glory.
