Our Ministry in Mexico
Our partnership in Mexico is with Rancho Sordo Mudo, a free home and school for deaf children. The children come from different areas of Mexico, and live at the school September through June and range in age from five to about 17-18. The school’s Spanish curriculum includes all subjects for kindergarten through 8th grade. The children are taught American Sign Language ASL , and Mexican sign language MSL . They attend daily devotions and bible studies, and church on Sundays at the ranch. Ed and Margaret Everett, the founders of RSM, believe that deaf children can be taught how to read and write, to communicate in sign language, and to learn a trade for their future. More importantly, the goal of the ministry is to teach the children of God's love for them and give them a hope and future. www.ranchosordomudo.org

Our Trip This Fall
October 15-22 Fellowship will be sending our first team to visit and serve at Rancho Sordo Mudo. On this trip there will be numerous opportunities to minister to the students and staff through construction, maintenance, and ministry. Time will be spent working on the ongoing projects needed to keep the Ranch going as well as interacting with the staff and students. The team will undergo some basic sign language training prior to traveling, but trip members will be amazed at how quickly they will pick it up and how fun it is to learn from the students. All the Ranch staff will be willing to help interpret and we hope to have several ASL fluent team members as well. The Lord is doing a wonderful work in the lives of these children and in the lives of those fortunate enough to visit the Ranch for even a short time.
Luke, the director of Rancho Sordo Mudo, desires that people would come to the Ranch and discover the joy and blessing of missionary ministry. It is a very easy place to have that happen. You do not need special skills or training to attend this trip, you simply need a willing servants heart and a desire to serve the Lord, He will take care of the details.
