Beyond Belief 2006 (continued)
 Spiritual investments that
will mark generations to come begin right here with the children on our campus... the children in our homes.
Investing generationally out of passion and calling Ron Pittman has single-handedly launched our Buddy Ministry
for special needs children while starting a new business, getting his daughter married and raising a special needs child of
his own. One woman commented, "This is the first time since the birth of our child that my husband and I have been able to
worship together in the same worship service."
700 Children's Ministries volunteers invest 72,000 hours in our children "From the 'first pitch' to the 'final out,'
every moment was God infused. Thanks for turning our eyes to the Savior through the many volunteers who have been 'wrapping
string' and giving their lives away to our children. I could hardly contain myself listening to people share about their love
of our kids and commitment to show them Christ." --Children's Ministries volunteer at the appreciation banquet this
spring
Forever families Our family did not experience any major trips, make any major purchases or even receive any major
promotions this year; however, it's not a year we'll soon forget. After years of dreaming, months of considering and weeks of
wrestling... we finally drove a stake in the ground the evening of September 18, 2005, and announced our plan to our kids... to
adopt! What a tender family time that evening. We are bracing for the hard work ahead while also finding ourselves really
excited for the adventure that awaits us! We expect to travel to Ethiopia to receive and bring home a child! 2005
