Worship Residency Program
Our objective is to equip the next generation of worship pastors, sharing the knowledge and experience we’ve gained at Fellowship. Involving our staff and others within the body and the community, our goal is to give young people called to worship ministry, experience in all of areas ministry as well as development both spiritually and personally.
Our residency program is nine months, September through May. During this time the residents will participate in planning and preparation for, and participate in the Worship & Arts mission trip, the Christmas season, Good Friday, Easter and the Inspire Worship Conference at Fellowship. Worship pastor residents will work alongside our Worship & Arts staff, helping with weekly functions, involved in the regular worship planning process and weekly worship staff meetings.
Rob Howard, Pastor of Worship & Arts, oversees the residency program, mentoring and meeting weekly with the residents to discuss required reading on Worship Theology, Worship Leading, Arts, and Leadership. Throughout the residency, they will meet with ministry leaders to understand all of Fellowship’s ministries. The residents will also meet with key leaders within the body and the Nashville community to discuss relationships, finances, leadership, administration, volunteers, family, and other ministry-related issues.
During the residency we will attend several conferences and visit many different churches: Northpoint, Buckhead Church, NewSpring Church, Fellowship Little Rock, Jackson and Murfreesboro, as well as several Nashville area churches.
The residents will be selected from personal recommendations. Ideally, each resident will have graduated from college and be somewhere between the ages of 21 and 30. As well, each resident shall confirm a call to full-time ministry and raise a portion of the cost of the residency.
