Meet the Community Group Pastors

Each community group is led by a leader who is responsible to provide an environment and promote opportunities for those in their fellowship to grow in spiritual maturity. These leaders are overseen by our community group pastoral team:

Derek Bell - North CG Pastor

community_group-bellJennifer and I were married in 2004 after meeting on a blind date. Soon after starting life together, we realized that God was leading us to grow our family a few different ways—one being adoption. On Aug. 4, 2007, Jennifer and I met our daughter, Macy Elizabeth (6 1/2 months old) for the first time in the lobby of the Clarion Hotel in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Three months later Parker Williamson was born – doubling our family in the span of three months. In February 2010 we added another daughter, Grayson Elise.

I spent the bulk of my career in the Christian book publishing industry working for LifeWay Christian Resources and Integrity Publishers. Most recently, I led consulting efforts for Bob Buford, Leadership Network, The Drucker Institute and several other clients. As a graduate of Samford University’s business school and Belmont University’s MBA program, I had the privilege to return to Belmont as a professor of management and marketing. I love being a husband to Jennifer and a father to my children. Just about any weekend, you will find us eating breakfast in downtown Franklin and strolling around Costco.

Dan Vorm - South CG Pastor

community_group-vormI was born and raised near Portland, Oregon where I developed a taste for quality lattes, Oregon Duck football and a continual, misty rain that curls one’s hair. I met my wife, Kerry, while attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and we married in 1983.

After Moody we served as missionaries with a small missionary organization in Athens, Greece from 1987 until 1992, and then returned to Portland to attend Western Seminary. After graduation I joined the staff of my home church, Good Shepherd Community Church, as a pastor in the areas of evangelism and small groups. It was a phone call from our friend, Maridus Kinder, that started the ball rolling toward Tennessee. We have now been on staff at Fellowship since August of 2005. We love the people that make up this church and are privileged to work with wonderful group leaders and members in the South Community. Kerry and I have four children: Jason, Chris, Nicholas and Stephanie.

Tom Clagett - East CG Pastor

Anna and I were high school sweethearts in Loveland, Colorado where we were both born and raised. We both attended the University of Colorado, graduating with a smattering of business degrees, but with an even greater passion for serving the Lord in ministry. This led us to the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, where we served 16 years with FamilyLife in Little Rock, AR.

Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock was our church home where we were community group leaders, learning center teachers, and I was a lay elder. On the home front, we have five children (Josiah, Rachel, Sarah, Caleb, and Samuel), three cats and a chocolate lab.

After completing my degree at Dallas Theological Seminary a few years ago, our family moved to Brentwood where we have been delighted to be here at Fellowship Nashville. Anna also serves on staff at the church as the Director of Fellowship Women. We both feel it is a true privilege to serve alongside this body with such a tremendous cast of community group leaders, and we look forward to another great year of ministry together with you.

Larry Kayser - West CG Pastor

My wife and I have been married for 29 years, we are blessed to have four daughters, and a nine-month old grand daughter named Abbi. Our oldest daughter, Jennifer Rozman, is married to Dave. Daughter number two, Melissa Hoffman, is married to Eric. Number three Katie Walsh, is married to Tim, and Joy, our youngest is a Senior at Belmont.

I have been in the ministry for over 20 years, after working as a photojournalist for nearly 10 years. I graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN.

The greatest love and passion in my life is my wife and children. We love to camp, hike, bike and just be outside. Anne and I have been a part of community group living for nearly our entire marriage. Community has touched every part of our lives and we are thrilled to be a part of a church family that believes that people change best when truth is shared in the context of relationship.

Mark Holeman - Community Pastor

Mark Holeman and FamilyJanet and I met on the stage in Nashville. She was the star and I was the stage hand. I am still her #1 fan. We married in 1992 and have two beautiful and sweet girls, Colleen (left) and Casey (right).

After serving with Mission Community Church for almost a decade we returned to Tennessee in the fall of 2008. I began working with Graceworks Ministries. Janet began work at Lipscomb University as an adjunct teacher in the music and drama department. She also teaches private voice and piano.

Through my work at Graceworks I met Dan Vorm. Dan invited us to check out Fellowship Bible Church. We became members in 2009. My relationship with Dan eventually led to a conversation and God provided an opportunity to join the CG pastor team at Fellowship.

In our free time you’ll find us hanging with family in Green Hills or Sparta, or playing in our backyard. I am excited to serve with a gifted team of pastors and staff at Fellowship and look forward to see what God does in and through Fellowship.
