    So You're Getting Married

    Congratulations on entering this fun and exciting season of life. We would like to help prepare you for not just for your wedding day, but more importantly for your marriage. First step is to contact Erika will gladly set up an appointment for you with one of our community group pastors. They will enjoy getting to know you, and together you will create a plan for premarital counseling.

    Many couples will spend several sessions with the pastor going through a time of premarital counseling. Some couples will also attend our Preparing for Marriage class. This class will provide a place for you to further develop a biblical view of marriage and to explore key areas of your future relationship with your spouse. Through the completion of several inventories, you will have the opportunity to better understand yourself and your future spouse.

    Dear Bride and Groom:

    What an exciting time in your life! You are preparing to make a lifelong commitment to one another—to love, honor and care for one another, all the days of your lives.

    We at Fellowship Bible Church are so happy to be a part of this exciting beginning to your marriage! We want to do all we can to make your wedding day both memorable for you and glorifying to God. No other human relationship can approach the potential for oneness and intimacy that can be found within the context of marriage.

    Read through our wedding policy which should provide answers to many of your initial questions regarding weddings at Fellowship. Once you have read through the policy guide, please complete the wedding request form and drop it off at the church office. You will then be contacted to continue the process of preparing for your marriage.

    The one piece of advice we would offer to you is this: “Relax and enjoy the process. Keep in focus the goal of creating a godly marriage, not just creating a ceremony.” We look forward to being a part of both.

    We pray God’s richest blessings on you as you prepare for your life together and seek to grow an authentic, godly marriage.
